The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) showcases the unique skill and determination of young riders through its “catch rider” format in Hunt Seat, Dressage, and Western competitions. Riders in grades 4 through 12 draw horses at random and have only minutes, if any, to warm up before entering the ring, making adaptability and horsemanship the true test of success.

Throughout the season, riders compete for points, advancing from regular season competition to Regionals and Zone Finals. The top individuals and teams earn the honor of competing at Nationals, held this year April 23–26, 2026, at the National Equestrian Center in Lake Saint Louis, Missouri.

IEA Nationals is more than a championship event; it’s an unforgettable experience. Riders connect with fellow competitors and coaches, meet college recruiters, discover new gear, and immerse themselves in the excitement of top-level competition. From team parades and stall decorating contests to preparing truly exceptional horses, every moment adds to the magic of the event.

Coaches, team captains, riders, volunteers, and horse providers all share the privilege of being part of this extraordinary organization. TurnoutHQ wishes every competitor the very best of luck. Enjoy the journey, make lasting memories, and ride your best!
